About Julie Cunningham
Hi! I'm Julie Cunningham, a licensed speech-language pathologist in San Diego, CA. I specialize in English pronunciation and accent reduction, communication training within the workplace, and voice projection and public speaking skills. I've worked with clients from all around the world including India, Iraq, France, the Virgin Islands, and Vietnam (to name a few). I absolutely love learning from these clients, as international culture and travel are big interests of mine.
Licenses & Certifications
I'm currently licensed in the state of California and nationally certified in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as a member of the ASHA Special Interest Group 3 for Voice and Voice Disorders. I'm a certified PESL Instructor (Pronouncing English as a Second Language) and TEFL Instructor (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I'm also a Preferred Trainer of LDS & Associates, a leading accent reduction and corporate communication training program.

Network & Features
I serve on the executive board of the Corporate Speech Pathology Network (CORSPAN), which is an international organization of Speech-Language Pathologists who specialize in communication assessment and training for businesses and professionals.
I have been featured in the book Here’s How to Do Accent Modification: A Manual for Speech-LanguagePathologists, and on Vince Kotchian Test Prep's article about speech-language pathologists who own a business in accent modification.
I like to spend time outdoors, going camping and hiking as much as possible, and I'm always looking for a new mountain to climb. I also like to learn about other cultures, eat good food, and have a good laugh any way that I can.
