5-Week Intensive Accent Class

How long is the class?

• The class is 5 weeks of intensive training, Monday - Saturday

What will I learn?

• Each week, we focus on a different part of your accent:
• Week 1: Intonation – sounding expressive, not flat or robotic
• Week 2: Word stress and syllable stress
• Week 3: Rhythm, reductions, and timing of American English
• Week 4: Connected speech, linking, and real-life conversation practice
• Week 5: Core sounds that are causing confusion

 

What is the structure of the course?

• You’re not just watching videos — you’re practicing every day with:
• Daily assignments, Monday through Saturday
• Daily Pronunciation Challenges where you send me recordings on WhatsApp - I listen and give you specific feedback so you know exactly what to correct.
• You complete the daily practice on your schedule, whenever is most convenient for you.
• Once you've completed your daily practice, you submit your Daily Pronunciation Challenge to me via WhatsApp for my feedback.
• You can also re-submit one Challenge per week for an extra round of feedback from me.

 

What if I need help with my pronunciation?

• We meet live weekly at English Pro Live in a very small group – I work with just three students per class – so you get real 1:1 coaching, not just generic advice
• Need additional help? You also get a weekly private Q&A session, by appointment. So if you have questions or need more help, you can talk to me directly.

• When you enroll in this 5-week intensive class, you get 3 months of access to my English Pro program and the English Pro Community.

 

How much does the 5-week class cost?

• The enrollment fee is $399 for the full five weeks.
• Here’s what’s included: daily personal feedback from Julie, Monday through Saturday; a weekly live session capped at three students; a weekly private Q&A session; and 3 months of access to English Pro (a $49.99/month value, so about $150 on its own).
• Private coaching with me is $250–375 a session. This class gives you daily feedback for five weeks for $399.

 

 

How much time per day?

• The most successful students spend up to an hour a day on the Daily Assignments and Daily Pronunciation Challenges. It’s up to you — but the more time you practice, the better your results.

 

What if I travel or miss a week?

• Complete assignments and challenges every day so you don’t fall behind or miss feedback. If you know you’ll be traveling, you’re encouraged to complete them early, before your trip.

 

What level do I need to be?

• Intermediate or above.

 

Why this rather than English Pro on its own?

• The 5-week class includes daily feedback from Julie, plus a weekly private Q&A session and weekly live classes. English Pro on its own includes the weekly live classes only. If you want daily feedback, the 5-week class is the better choice.

 

Is there a refund if it’s not right for me?

• Full refund up to 24 hours before the start date — email julie@sandiegovoiceandaccent.com. No refunds once the class has begun.
